Volunteers are our Heart

A giant thank you goes to all volunteers who give their time, talents, and energy to enable our community to create and celebrate together!

Volunteer Notices

Community theatre takes a whole community of people dedicated to creating and supporting onstage, offstage, backstage, and everywhere! Sign up today to join the volunteer team and help create and celebrate the arts here at Steeple Playhouse.

Right now we are transitioning to a new volunteer database that will help make sure volunteers get special updates, calendar notices, and invitations to volunteer-only events. If you haven’t completed a new volunteer form in the last year, please do so now to make sure you stay involved with with our upcoming anniversary SEASON80!

Ushers help greet guests, check-in patrons, hand out play programs, and they are part of the emergency safety procedure for every event. The special perk of being an usher is getting to see the show on the night you usher.

Open auditions are held for all Your Theatre’s Main Stage Season shows. Showcases and special performances often have open auditions but are sometimes cast by invitation. Family of performers can return to see shows as many times as they like at no cost, after purchasing tickets to see the show one time.

Backstage crew help with everything: costumes, props, scene changes, and more. Each production is unique, but they always need special backstage magic. Family of back stage crew can return to see shows as many times as they like at no cost, after purchasing tickets to see the show one time.

Tech crew help with lighting, audio, special sound effects, video, and projection. From designing the stage lighting to running audio for a show, it takes a crew to bring the stage to life. Family of tech crew can return to see shows as many times as they like at no cost, after purchasing tickets to see the show one time.

Stage managing is an essential part of every production. Stage managers and assistant stage managers help record blocking, run stage crews, detail prop and costume changes, and more. Family of stage management can return to see shows as many times as they like at no cost, after purchasing tickets to see the show one time.
